Waist Packs, also called Lumbar Packs, tend to be larger and have more technical features, such as moisture-wicking back panels, compression straps and water bottle holders than Fanny Packs. They are good for short day hikes, and bike rides, and walks about town. Conversely, Fanny Packs are smaller, and are primarily designed to carry wallets, money, keys and other small accessories.
